On Sunday night TVN, one of the largest broadcast companies in Panama, held a Heroes of Panama event where they selected from the top ten nominated philantropists in the country and awarded one the "Hero of Panama" award as well as a check for $30,000 (USD). Because of his work in rural Panama, and thanks to an online vote, Father Wally "Padre Pablo" won the prestigious award!
Father Wally is clearly shocked at the result, as you can see in the subtitled video below.
Congratulations Padre, you deserve every bit of it.
